Arrival and departure
Transfer from Hurghada airport to marina Hurghada is included in the Safari price. Surcharge for transfer from Hurghada airport to marina Port Ghalib is € 25,- per person/one way (or if the booked hotel is along the way from/to airport), for transfer from Marsa Alam airport to marina Port Ghalib is € 10,- per person/one way (or if the booked hotel is along the way from/to airport).
For Groups and FC-bookings is one transfer from and to the marina included
To cover longer waiting periods before check-in and/or after check-out, we recommend day-use in hotel room or pool-use only can be arranged. Costs are not included in the safari price.
To avoid longer waiting periods, privat transfer can be arranged. Costs are (depending on the current exchange rates) as following:
Hurghada to Port Ghalib (1-8 persons) approx. € 110,-
Hurghada to Port Ghalib (9-16 persons) approx. € 200,-
Check-in and check-out
On the day of arrival, the boat will be ready for check-in from 3 p.m.
Check-out from the boat is until 10 a.m. on departure day.
We reserve the right to accommodate our guests on their first/last night in a hotel, in case of organizational or technical reasons.

Extra charge for single cabin = 50% for Bowcabin
all other cabins 80%
Reduction for non divers = 10% (please ask for availability by special offers!)
Kindly note that not used cabins will be closed. No guest can claim a single cabin which is not booked or payed for! If you book for accommodation in 1/2 double cabin, you may have to share the cabin with a person of the opposite sex. Gladly we add information about gender in our homepage.
Not included in the safari price are local fees (2023) as stated below:

Please note: also non-divers have to pay the full amount of local fees!
Entry visa for Egypt: € 30,- p.p.
In case Egyptian government increases the price for entry visa, costs will increase accordingly.
Guides
According to legal regulations, all safaris must be accompanied by experienced dive guides, having a work and residence permit. Due to legal and insurance reasons, diving courses on board can only be done by our dive guides.
Marine Park
Marine Park includes Brother Islands, Daedalus Reef, Rocky Island and Zabargad. Please note that night dives, swimming and snorkeling in the marine parks are prohibited by law.
Nitrox
Our boats M/Y Firebird and M/Y Thunderbird are equipped with a Nitrox membrane system. Nitrox is free for divers with a valid certificate, but not a guaranteed service.
Rebreather diving and rebreather rental must be requested in writing at least 14 days prior to the safari, availablity of this service cannot be guaranteed if not booked for in advance.

Necessary equipment and guest experience
All participants on diving safari must have a valid diving certificate and at least 30 logged dives. For all Marine Park routes (Brothers, Daedalus, Rocky, Zabargad) there is a minimum of 50 logged dives required and the last dive within the last one year.
Guests may be excluded from diving if these requirements are not fulfilled, or have inadequate diving experience for specific areas (due to current, depth etc.). This can also result into a limitation of routing and dive sites.
The following documents and equipment should be brought by every guest:
1. valid diving certification
2. logbook
3. medical statement not older than one year (according to Egyptian law)
4. dive computer
5. emergency buoy (SMB)
6. two passport copies !!!
7. diving accident insurance (decompression insurance can be arranged on board. Surcharge for safaris from Hurghada € 6,- and for safaris from Port Ghalib for € 7,-)
Rental equipment and Spare parts
Usually rental equipment or spare parts are not available on board of our boats. All guests are expected to bring their most important spare parts, like mask strap and fins. Needed rental equipment, torches and computers are to be requested in advance. These items are not insured and in case of damage or loss the guest is completely liable.
Abstract from the law of environment
1. hunting, fishing, collecting corals, shells and other marine life is strictly prohibited
2. throwing any waste into the sea (rubbish, oil, fat) is forbidden
3. it is generally not allowed to anchor in protected areas
4. feeding fish and birds is forbidden
5. using gloves for divers is only allowed for protection
6. it is prohibited to walk on reefs and corals
Any violation can lead to fines and/or prison sentences. Moreover, the authorities reserve the right to ban the respective captain and/or dive guide from their profession, or to confiscate the boat license for a certain period of time.
The maximum dive depth for diving with compressed air is 40 meters! (upon presentation of the corresponding brevet). For any technical diving the rules from CDWS apply (Chamber of Diving and Watersports, www.cdws.travel/diving/rules-regulations).
Payment conditions
Upon booking, 20% of payment is required. Booking is only confirmed after receiving the deposit payment. Final payment is due 4 weeks prior to the safari (visible in account).
Cancellation fees
up to 90 days prior at a safari, 15% of total safari price
89 to 35 days prior at a safari, 25% of total safari price
34 to 22 days prior at a safari, 50% of total safari price
21 to 15 days prior at a safari, 70% of total safari price
14 to 8 days prior at a safari, 90% of total safari price
7 days and not arrival, 100% of total safari price
Booking and/or Name changes
Name change for a booking is possible up to 4 weeks prior to departure, a fee of € 50,- will be charged. After this, above mentioned cancellation fees apply. Minimum number of guests
The minimum number of guests for our safaris is usually 10 people. If this number is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the safari 14 days before departure.
